Renault Pulse Hatchback to be launched on January 6th, 201

Renault India’s first product targeted at big volumes, the Pulse Hatchback, will be launched on the 6th of January, 2012. The Pulse is a hatchback based on the Nissan Micra. Both cars share the same V-platform that Renault and Nissan have jointly developed. The Pulse has been suitably restyled with a more aggressive looking front end, a far cry from the cutesy looks of the Micra.ThePulse will also continue Renault’s strategy of focusing on diesel engined cars. The engine is well acclaimed for its superb driveability with minimal turbo lag and high fuel economy. However, the Pulse will use the same dashboard and  interiors as that of the Micra and this is a disappointment of sorts.

Bajaj Pulsar celebrating 10 years of market leadership

Bajaj Pulsar is celebrating ten years of a very successful run in the Indian two-wheeler segment. Since, is launch back in 2001, Bajaj Pulsar has been the market leader in its segment. Bajaj Auto first introduced the Pulsar with two engine options- 150 cc and 180 cc. Initially, the Bajaj did face some difficulties especially with the gearbox. Over the years, Bajaj kept on tweaking and tuning the bike.Later version that followed had a pretty decent gearbox. Then came the DTSis. These versions got a twin-spark engine which was introduced as an improvement over the first model. What has remained common on all bikes is the air-cooled single cylinder engine. Bajaj has used the same block to create different versions of the four-stroke petrol engine. The 200 cc and 220 cc bikes that followed were based on the same engine.
Bajaj Pulsar 220 New colour
Since 2003, Bajaj introduced 17-inch alloy wheels on the bike. The first models of the Pulsar had the classic street-fighter look with a round headlight. Later generations of the Pulsar came with headlight and pilot lamps integrated in a single fairing. The 220 on the other hand got a half-fairing like that on the then, Hero Honda Karizma. Bajaj was also first manufacturer to offer a LED tail lamp cluster.

Bajaj even introduced illuminated switch gear for the first time on an Indian bike. By the time the new Pulsar came out, competitors were already scrambling to keep up with the segment leader. But, competitive pricing and a host of modern features meant the Bajaj Pulsar remained the best selling bike in India. The Bajaj Pulsar has been around for the last 10 years and is still one of favorites among the youth of the country. Bajaj Auto has been constantly updating the product. Now it is expect to see a 200 cc Pulsar with an air-cooled 4-valves per cylinder DOHC engine.
